Camille Rust
Camille Rust works primarily in wood; initially making mirrors from driftwood found along the shores of N.E. Scotland. Following her passion, she trained in furniture making, design and restoration at Chippendale School of Furniture near Edinburgh where she still rents a workbench today, thus dividing her time between her home in Aberdeenshire and Edinburgh.

Inspired by the natural beauty of wood, especially weathered and spalted hardwoods, Camille produces a range of decorative hanging birds and fish. Her quirky sense of style has led her to also produce a range of sculpted, standing birds, many with copper (a lucky skip find), legs and fish bone coat hooks which are the ultimate fish hook.

Not bearing to throw even the smallest of scraps of wood away Camille has created a range of block work pieces, from end-grain hardwood chopping boards to boxes complete with wooden hinges. She also creates larger items of furniture. Please view the gallery to see a selection of her work. Contact 0776 762 8095 or email camille.adrift@hotmail.co.uk
